I knew we could also do this here at The WG2E…and add our fantabulous WG2E-Land readership to the outreach efforts!

This Is a terrific Idea, and so many people will get something to distract them from being so far away from home. I am proud of all the military personnal past and present.
What an AWESOME idea! Our military men & women are out there putting their lives on the line for ALL of us, so it’s SO nice to do something for them, whenever possible.

I’m bummed I don’t have a book yet to give
Oh well, I will definitely make Veteran’s Day 
Although, this would be another great thing to do for maybe Fourth of July or Christmas especially.
I used to be an Ombudsman. I’m thinking about reaching out to Fleet and Family support and my fellow Indie authors, maybe help sailors before they go on deployment to load up their e-readers with the latest and greatest from the indie movement. Maybe I’ll even have a military spouse appreciation day once a month for my own readers…..

Having been an active duty serviceman, including overseas duty — during the Vietnam Conflict, but NOT in S.E. Asia fortunately — I can speak for ‘troops’ when I say everything is appreciated. I don’t know how transmissions work for Kindle devices in such areas, but if the technological aspects are “good to go” then this is a terrific tribute to those who are serving.

Thank you everyone who helps out and donates. My grandson is a Marine and will return in August to Afghanistan, it will be his second tour.
The troops love their books. It hedges off a little homesickness. Another great thing is donating to the VA hospital for our wounded warriors from this conflict and from the past wars. They love books in any format. At least twice a year I take a bag or two of books to the local VA.
Ohhh yeahhh!!!
