My critique group, Savannah Pen & Ink, went through countless drafts and I am forever grateful to them. The wonderful Tara at http://fantasiafrogdesigns.wordpress.com designed my cover.
It’s exciting to have LIQUID LIES up and running. Now people can read my story. Of course, I hope they like it. It’s also terrifying because people may hate my story and trash it in reviews. But that is all a part of this isn’t it? When you stick your neck out, it may get cut. But you will never know if you will have success unless you put yourself out there.
Right from the start, I enrolled LIQUID LIES into Kindle Direct Publishing. I have already used up my five free days in which I had over 45,000 downloads total from the USA and UK. During that time, LIQUID LIES made it to #6 on the 100 free Kindle bestselling list.
As of today (I am submitting this post five days before it goes up) LIQUID LIES is now priced at .99. It has made the top 100 Kindle paid bestsellers. LIQUID LIES has been as low as #51, and fluctuates from the 60’s to 70’s in the top paid 100 bestsellers.
LIQUID LIES is ranked at #1 in a few bestseller categories (drama and theater) and in the top ten paid on bestseller mystery and women’s sleuths.
Am I pumped? Yes!
Do I have any idea where sales will go from here? No.
But I am writing like mad. This year I want to publish three novels (HARMONY HILL, a women’s fiction , will be up the first week of May). I will also be a part of five anthologies as well. This is my “make it or break it year.” And if sheer determination, hard work and perseverance count- I hope to make it!

I’ve yet to read Liquid Lies, Lois, after downloading it for free. Shall give it a review when read. Good luck for this ‘make it or break it’ year. I feel it is the same for me, as I already have self-epubbed one book and have a few more I want to release this year, as well as having romance stories epublished in May and later this year (when I’ve written them).

LIQUID LIES is just too great a read to have continued to “wait” on anyone to say “yes, sign that one”…
Instead, now all your readers are saying “yep, downloaded it while it was Free” or “gotta have this one” and now buying it post-Free!
